is there a new update to support wordpress 2.7?
@ saud
As far as I can tell it works with 2.7. If you are having problems can you please give me details and I will look into it and update.
Thanks,
I cannot seem to get this plugin to work at all, when i paste the code into the box and hit save i get a connection interrupted error. Does this not work with WP 2.7.1
@ Mike
Hey Mike, I have installed this plugin on 3 installs of 2.7.1 and it works fine for me. A “Connection Interrupted” error is possibly a host issue. I plan on doing an update soon but it was going to cover a few house keeping issues. Quantcast-Quantifier is based on the Google Analyticator: http://cavemonkey50.com/code/google-analyticator/, I see you are using a different plugin for yours. Maybe try Analyticator and let me know if you have the same issue? If so I guess it is could be a code issue opposed to a host issue. Let me know how you get on.
Thanks,
=-)
i did try switching to the anaylticator but still had the same issue. Should i contact my hosting company?
Hey Mike,
I have just released 1.2. It will come up in your plugin list soon of if you can not wait you can download it on this page. I have made some small house keeping changes that I do not expect to help you, but you never know. I’m not sure what you would ask your host about this issue. It is strange that it affects some plugins and not others. Please let me know if 1.2 helps.
Thanks,

Hi James, This may be a stupid question, but bear with me. Does this plugin work with WordPress MU? I’ve had some problems in the past using standard WP plugins on MU. Also, I need a great stats tool for our network of 165 sites too. Is analyticator the best to use? Are there problems using these two in conjunction?
Thanks!
Mackenze
Hello Mackenze,
There are no stupid questions.
Mu – I’m not 100% sure, I would need to test it, I will install a version and let you know. I think I tried it a year or so ago but can not remember.
Analytictor – There is no conflict between Quantifier and Analyticator. Is it the best tool, it depends on what you want, I know there is a lot of competition out there. Some plugins now allow you to use many stats programs from 1 plugin. I have not played with many others for a long time. Analyticator works well for what I need. How it will go on Mu I’m not sure.
I hope that is of some help.
Thanks,

Silly Me, I have been periodically visiting quantcast thinking that the code I had entered in my footer was working, it was not. I never thought to look for a plug-in. I just installed this, maybe next month they will have some information for me. Thanks for making this available.
Michael Brown
Hello. Thanks for making your plugin available for free. However, I have noticed a couple issues I’d like to bring to your attention.
(1) lines 144 and 151 both refer to ga_ constants rather than their qq replacements. (key_ga_admin and ga_enabled, respectively)
(2) similarly, line 108 refers to the ga_nonce_field() call, but is commented out. there is no qq equivalent. This is unfortuante,a s the nonce is there to prevent what could otherwise be a security hole that might allow non-authorized users to alter your Quantcast settings.
Hello Vynce,
Thank you for taking the time to point out the issues.
* I have updated the ga_ to qq_
* I have added nonce (I had not spent the time to learn about it, but as it turns out is pretty easy)
I have added 1.5 to the WordPress.org Plugins, and also on my download page too.

Ver 1.5 places “qq_tracker_code_advanced_default ” at the top of my templates. See http://www.airlinesanddestinations.com for an example.
Hey,
Yes, sorry about that, please go into the settings and clear the value in the “Advanced (Optional)” section. After making the update, the setting saves the value there by accident.
Tonight I will look at an update that will clear that value.
Thank you,

Version 1.5.2 will repair the issues created by 1.5.
Thank you

Thanks for this plugin – works great (even on WP 3.3.1).
Thank you!

The quantcast code is displayed on every page of my site. How can I stop that?
Jason
Hello Jason,
You could uninstall the plugin?
Sorry, not trying to be cleaver, just if it is not on every page then it is not sending accurate statistics back.
Do you want it to show only on the “index” page? There is currently no feature to do this. But it could be done using something like “is_home”
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_home
Please feel free to elaborate.
Thanks

Ahh! I understand now. The tracking code you entered into the plugin is visible to all the users of the site. Not hidden in the HTML. Yes, please enter the full Quantcast Tacking Javascript block.
A number of reasons I did it this way opposed to just an ID.
Glad it is working.
Thanks
Just installed the plugin no problem. Do I need to always login to quantcast to view stats?
Good question/idea.
Yes, you will need to log in to Quantcast to check stats. I have not looked into pulling data from the Quantcast website before. Having a quick look, I can not see an API that I could hook into, will have to have another look when I have some more time.
Thanks,
=-)
