Snowboarding Broken River video

While Teece and I were in Castle Hill snowboarding we snapped some moving footage to go with the still shots.

This footage was from our day at Broken River. Teece ripping it up, a nice big air, some sledding which results in sliding down the side of the ridge, and a few photos to end an awesome trip.

Enjoy!

Snowboarding the Rainbow

Here is the latest video from August 2008 Snowboarding at Rainbow

What a great day, sun, snow and great mates. We had a super day at Rainbow. Six of us piled in to the van and away we went. The video covers the whole day, but don’t worry, I included the good bits like the attempted back flip, many jumps, drops, and probably the best cart wheel of the day ;-)

They claimed to have 250cm ~ 400cm of snow on the day which is possibly the most snow I have ever known at our small local field. We enjoyed the trails in the morning while the snow softened up a bit, and then we hit West Bowl and walked up SixOne to an awesome wind lip. This kept us busy for a while before we needed to carry on carving up the white canvas.

Good Times!

Finally the video of my elbow!

Here it is, the video of me breaking my elbow. The video is more of a story of the whole thing. The breaking point is really pretty short and uneventful ;-)

Sorry about the jerky end. Not sure why the program did that, I tried my hardest to fix it.

The arm is pretty good now. Just building up strength again.

Good Times!

New Video – Custom Camo Fridge

For those of you out of the loop, we did the “Bruce Lee Beer Fridge” last year. (You can find the video in here) We have been talking about painting our inside fridge too.

Last week someone posted a video response to our “Bruce Lee Beer Fridge” on YouTube.com and that helped grease the gears. On Sunday we devoted the day to pimping our other fridge.

BEHOLD! The “Custom Camo Fridge”!

Good Times In The Snow

Back in June 2007 we had an awesome dump of snow one weekend. We decided to mission up to Lake Rotoiti to check it out. We packed old “Rock Hopper” snowboards and a tow rope then hit the road.

There was a fantastic amount on snow at the lake car park but unfortunately it filled up pretty quick with city folk wanting to see the snow. We then missioned out of town a little to find a nice long straight road with plenty of snow on the verge.

After our muscles were burning with satisfaction we decided it was time to leave the magic wonderland and head home.

Queen Street Skate

Gravity is our friend! Just a small video from Christmas Eve where Kees, R and I were making the most of the asphalt down Queen Street. No awesome tricks, just some casual bombing courtesy of gravity.

There are a few photos too.

Summer Swimming

One of the great things about summer is the swimming! We are spoilt locally with a selection of awesome places to swim. Last week we were up the Hackett river enjoying the warm weather on the rope swing. I put together a small snippet for others to enjoy ;-)

Pimp My Fridge

Earlier this year when I was living in Christchurch we received a “free” fridge. It came with rotting food, mould, bad smell and we saved the previous owners the dumping charge. We took to it like bees to a honey pot.

We stripped her back and pulled it all to pieces. Cleaned it with every household cleaner we could get our hands on and some baking soda to solve the smell issue.

Next we sanded, primed, bogged and repeated until we had a smooth clean fridge. Then we masked it up ready for painting.

We decided on a rad green colour and sprayed it down. Let it dry. Put it back together.

After much discussion over who was worthy to be on the fridge we picked a stencil of Bruce Lee.

I would say we have to have the classiest Beer Fridge I have ever seen.

I have not taken a lot of photos this month so far but that is no reason not to have posted any. Christmas is fast approaching and I’m sure I will be making the most of my break.

New “Videos” section!

YEAH! After playing with Windows Movie Maker I have found that it does a pretty good job. And now that I seem to be addicted to making short video clips I have decided I better start a new section on my site to accommodate my newest hobby ;-)

At the top of the page you will find a “Videos” tab. This will take you to a small gallery of videos I have made for the site.

I have also added a new one Teece and I filmed last weekend.
“Underwater Moonwalk”

Enjoy!
